Huda Beauty Rose Quartz Palette

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I didn’t really have any preconceived ideas about the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz palette but it’s fair to say that it’s far more beautiful than I expected. I like the use of lavender-lilac shades throughout, especially next to the more earthy and architectural matte colours.

In my pictures, it looks like a cool toned palette but when it’s swatched it loses its iciness and becomes warmer. Maybe that’s the unexpected thing about it – that the shades are far more impactful than you think they might be at first sight.

There are textures aplenty – marbled effect, matte, shimmer, metallic, glossy and holo so really, the world is your beauty oyster. The absolute stand out shades are Cosmic Love which is radiating metallic violet and Blissful which is a comet of shimmer in a silvery green. Just when you think you’ve seen all the shades the make-up world has to offer…

If you wonder how to use the holographic gloss – it gives a holo effect with the tiniest amount so you could use on cheekbones and lips as well as the intended eyes. It’s not a comfort wear in the same way that traditional finishes are – you kind of have to want to wear it because it will feel exactly like lip gloss on the lids. It isn’t sticky as such but it’s just not a texture we’re used to. I used to love MAC eye gloss but it’s been a really long time since I’ve worn it.

So, shades from bottom to top are: Quartz, Aura, Gratitude, Cosmic Love, Empowered, Joy, Precious, Energized, Love Stone, Cherished, Blissful and Happiness.

The final row is Mantra, Serenity, Abundance, Moon Magic, Radiate and Self Love. The palette is £58 but I’ve found it on offer at Boots (and I looked everywhere for offers and it seems it is only them) for £46.60 HERE.
