[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] The newest in the Look In A Palette collection is Sunset Dreamscape which is more rosy and berryish than previous versions. It’s warm in tone with the usual trio for eyes and bronze, blush and highlight for cheeks.
I think a coral blush is always a good idea – the lower Cheek Pop shade has some vibrancy to it which means that it instantly brings the complexion to life and in winter, that’s never not a great thing! I certainly need a bit of a colour pep when the sky is grey and there also a pinker toned option (looking a bit browner in my pictures than it is in real life). All of the shades for eyes can be worn individually as well as together (I’m still preferring a single shade on my lids) and will stand out in their own right.
The bronzer is quite light in comparison to the density of the other shades and the face highlight is a warm champagne shade. It’s very wearable for medium tones – perhaps even medium-deep. The main thing about these palettes is that they are as they sound – a look in a palette – and the easiest things to take for travel or to keep at work. If you’re minimising your make-up bag (in my case, hoard) then you can’t do much better than a Look in A Palette with so many things in one place.
To me, this palette has a real holiday vibe – that line up of colours together looks so tempting and so…. warm (as in beach and sand!). I think it’s a really easy wear. When I tried the shades, I didn’t find them droppy which I think I have in the past. I’m not sure if there has been a formula change but the shades feel like they have more of an oil content which really helps to to stop powders being dusty. Or I’m imagining it – but they feel slightly moist if you run them through your fingers and I don’t remember that from earlier versions but it has been a while.
